Julia's Story
Life
I would like to find old friends I have lost touch with. I was a Dancing Boot as a senior. Was in Anchor Club, Honor Society. After going to UNC, I moved to Boston (still there). We lived in the South End (LOVED IT THERE) and then moved 2 miles out into Brookline where we renovated a big ole Victorian.
Love my job. I am Vice President of Software Engineering & Development managing a Global technology group spread across 7 locations in the USA and India for a major financial firm.
My husband Joe and I got married on the starting line of the Boston Marathon on a Saturday before the marathon, complete with film crew from all the news outlets,newspaper coverage, a reverend to the stars, a cop who stopped traffic for us, and out of towners who came to the "mecca" before their big race! Who knew what a big deal THAT would be! GAH!!! So much for relaxed and low key!
We have no children but we have a cat and a dog (a big one. Sheesh) We are in the process of adopting from China. And it's a REALLY slow boat from China. It's never too late, right?

reunion (missed the one in '08, ARG!!!) but will try to make the next one (gawd, when is that going to be??).
My hobbies include theology (non-religious, purely academic), cooking, baking, running, biking, swimming, single malt scotch and wine collecting, travel. We have shipped wine and scotch from Napa and Scotland. Might as well go to the source.
I run half marathons and marathons mainly. I've run about 50 half marathons and about a dozen marathons. I am thinking of running 5 marathons in 5 months when I turn 50 next year and will be working on a list of races. I am also thinking of running a 50 miler at a race called Across the Years in Arizona over the new year - 2008 through 2009. Happy happy! My husband is an Ironman Triathlete but I think those people are nutz. I also love baseball and want to visit every ball park in the country but work is getting in my way! And they keep tearing them down and building new ones! PFFFFFT!!!
I guess that's about it for the update.
I am wondering where Robin Stinson, Beverly Church, Bill Johnston, etc are. Just curious.
