Julia's Story
Well, I struggled with ADHD and Bi-polar disorder in high school. I tested out early, and went to Ventura Community College briefly in 1982 at the age of 16.
I made a lot of bad choices, but the thing I do not regret is having my kids. I now have 6 of them, ages 25, 23, 14, 11, 8, and 16 months.
I started a new life in 1989, when I left Ojai. I got married in 1990, ...Expand for more
and my life was an adventure. I have lived many places and led a fairly unconventional/nomadic lifestyle. Now I have settled down in the U.P., near my family.
Kids are my life, in my free time I advocate for the educational rights of children with disabilities.
I am currently enrolled in college full time (on-line). I am majoring in Behavioral Science/Social Service.
