Julie's Story
I am from Edmonds, Washington and currently reside in Everett, where I have been since 1990. I attended Woodway High School, QuickCert Online(Received CompTIA A+ Certification), Blackstone Careers (Received Paralegal certificate), CTC Education Systems (Accounting, Business), SOUTH UNIVERSITY (worked toward Bachelor of Science in IT), and am now finishing up the degree at Western Governor's University of WA (WGU WA) . I work at Comcast in technical support and have been here since 2003, and I operate my own computer repair and consultation company called Austad Computing. I am also a Paralegal Consultant and a seasoned arbitrator for landlord-tenant issues.
Music likes include: Alice in Chains, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. She still plays bass guitar, guitar, keyboards and flute (although is very rusty in all lately). Although not really a book reader, I do like to read car magazines that especially deal with Mustangs and other muscle cars. I have a 1968 Mustang GT coupe and a 2006 Mustang that I work on and show at car shows. Both have won awards. Th...Expand for more
e 1968 has been a project since it was purchased in 2004 where it was just a deluxe coupe. Since then, it has become a GT and is now in the transformation stage into a Shelby coupe. The interior is almost done. The 2006 started out just being a plain jane coupe and I have totally customized it myself and now have to enter it into the Modified category at most shows. It has been in two national Mustang magazines and has been in a variety of calendars. The latest one is Brad's Custom Auto for 2013. It is the March car.
I have also written two middle-grade children's fiction books, "Woods" and "Uncle's Trunk", which are both available online.
I am also a paranormal researcher and have all the equipment and experience necessary to determine if a place is haunted or not. I belong to a local group in the Seattle-Tacoma area that have done a number of paranormal "hotspots".
I have a couple of favorite quotes::"If you lived here, you'd be home by now." and "Behind every man now alive stand 30 ghosts, for that is the ratio by which the dead outnumber the living".
