Julie's Story
Life
After years of dipping in and out of school, I eventually got a BA and worked as a photojournalist for a while. Before getting my degree I traveled a bit around the USA, Canada and a couple of trips to Europe. I definitely had the travel bug running through my veins. In the spring of '91 I set out on a solo trip around the world. I anticipated I would be traveling for about 2 years, but 13 months into the trip I herniated a disc in my back and after 5 days in hospital in India I opted to head ho...Expand for more
me for treatment. The next year, ÃÂ93, I moved to London, England and in Dec of '96 I had my only child, Morgan. We moved to CA when she was six weeks old. Now the two of us travel a lot, I haven't let having a child kill the travel bug in me! We go to the UK every year, as well as other trips. On Valentine's Day in 2001 a house in San Carlos that we loved became ours. We have lived here for 12 years now. San Carlos is a wonderful place to raise children. Too bad we don't have a high school! :-(
