Julie's Story
I left Ohio after college (went to OSU - major in Hebrew and Arabic) and went to live in Israel for about a decade. I came back to the US around 1990, went to grad school (U of Michigan, Ann Arbor) for an MSW, and have been living in Washington DC ever since.

I live with my partner of 20 years (Judith) and our daughter (Emily) who is 13, in Bethesda, MD (a close-in DC suburb) Judy has three grown kids and five grandkids who are in our lives big time.
I am currently working on a book project about attachment to place, and grief and loss associated with loss of place.
Other than work, which I love, my favorite activities are biking, playing Bananagrams, and getting together w/friends!!!
