Julie's Story

Life Married Jay Hicks August 1990. We have two children, Evan, age 27 and Melissa age 19. Currently live in Harrisonville, MO. Love working on and showing my 1963 MG Midget that my husband gave me for our anniversary. We both love car shows and car auctions. I am a board member and fundraising chairman for a non-profit organization called Aaron's House. We are just in the start up stage and it is alot of work but gratifying being on the ground floor. Aaron's House is a maternity home for teenage girls, giving them an alternative to abortion. It is Christ-centered and educational. The house will give them a place to live during their pregnancy and help them get on their feet after the birth. king on this project. I am an Advertising Executive for the local newspaper and own my own home-based baking business, "All You Need are Cupcakes, LLC-USA." Looking forward to retirement in six years! Glass of wine and a candlelit bubblebath with my husband. Hobbies: I like to enter cooking contests and have written 2 cookbooks. I am currently taking a class to write non-fiction books. I enjoy working with my embroidery machine and am learning to quilt. I love singing, playing and writing music. Fun: I love the summer time when we open our pool and can spend evenings on the deck. Friends: We have LOTS! I love them all! Time Machine: I sometimes wish I could go back in time to being 16 knowing what I know today. My life would have taken a different turn. Hindsight is always 20/20.
