Life
Single mom with awesome kids: two at UNR, and one at Bishop Manogue. SO, before we go any further, has anyone heard from Bucky Claus?
Reno is like L.V. when we were in high school - do you remember the KLUC radio contest to name the "horse with no name?" Can you remember the name? (Mirage) How about Fremont before it was a one-way street and a dirt road west of Jones? Robber's Roost Cave, Red Rock, and Lake Mead were the places to ditch. Sunset Park was new! Charleston ended at Antelope? 50-cent Heinekens at Binion's Horseshoe (oops-you need I.D. for that one).
How about Pizza Hut way up Charleston after the games, or Macayo's famous late-nite "T...Expand for more
CT?" There were only six high schools then. Redrock theatre was "Redrock Three!" How about the Dunes genie? Elvis at the International? The Boulevard Mall was the ONLY mall. Dominant Jeans. Nixon was President. Elton John ('73) and the Eagles ('72 - before they had their going away tour, then the Hell Freezes Over Tour, and now the going away tour again) in concert. Circus Circus had that crazy gorilla lady? What was her name, Zambora?
I really miss those days. It seems like every time I get to Vegas, it's as if I never lived there at all. So BIG! Life is GOOD but spinning by. Have fun! Write me :) or come visit! We are 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe.
