Julie's Story

Life I became a freelance photograper, in Pittsburgh PA. I married in 1991 & have 3 kids. Moved to Florida in 1997. Currently a FL Activist for Election Reform & a Libertarian Party County Officer. Full Bio: *(1984-86)--After graduating from highschool in 1984, I went to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh to study Photography/Multi-Media. *(1986)--I recieved a Candid Photography Award for a 1986 Graduation Slide Show at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. *(1986-1991)--I was a freelance photographer in the greater Pittsburgh area doing everything--weddings, print work, brochures, company newsletters, modeling shoots. I had my own photo retouching business called "The Photo Fixer". *(1990)--I was selected to exhibit at "The Artery" gallery as a selected photographer of the 1990 "In Pittsburgh" Photo Competition. *(1991)--I Married my husband "MG" in St. Petersburg, FL. *(1997)--We moved to sunny St. Petersburg Florida. *(2000-2005)--I became editor/photographer of a non-profit political newsletter as well as designed various websites. *(2002)--I helped manage my husband's 2002 campaign for Florida State House of Representatives. *(2004-05)--I was the Convention Coordinator for the 2005 Libertarian Party of Florida State Convention. The convention was held February 4-6, 2005 at a hotel resort right on St. Pete Beach. I also did the photography of the event along with my photo/convention assistant. *(2005) --Currently I am a Florida Activist with the Election Reform Coalition-(Pinellas Co., FL) --I'm an Affiliate Officer of the Libertarian Party of Pinellas County Florida. --I'm on the Pinellas County Homeschool Board. *Present --I'm still doing photography--(events, publications, web)--but I've gone digital. And I also do freelance web design.
