Julie's Story

Well" after I graduated a year latter I was married and for 10 years .During that 10 years I had two children .My son Alexander was born full term but his lungs wasn't fully develop so they life flown him to Metro and then they took him to RB&C to be put on a heart and lung machine called E.C.M.O for 2 1/2 moths. He came home with lot of equipment including o2. Until he was 2 years old.Played baseball for awhile after he got older and things were better.Now you wouldn't even know he went through anything he is now 17 years old and very proud of him talking of going to the Navy or Air Force very smart young man. 3 years latter I had a daughter Annessa she was born with Down Syndrome unexplainable one of those things that just happen it happens 1 out of 10000 and we were the lucky ones to have her shes a blessing is what we call her we were told that she would have to have open heart surgery when she turns 5 years old because of her heart was to small to work on,So when she turn 4 not only I had to deal with that, but our marriage to at that point my family had to keep me from falling apart but I had to focus...Expand for more
on what was in front of me that was my kids I worked and did what I had to do I divorce and got my life together.A year came after the divorce and the custody got things right. I ended up meeting someone new and we been together now 11 years and with two kids also that was grate he's 8 years older then I am was in the coast guard and a man with respect .His children Kelly(26)Paige(12). My kids just love him they don't see their dad any more cause of back child support that he owes I fill mad about it but my son tells me all the time "mom its not your fault if dad wanted to see us then he would of worked something out but he didn't. He's got a new family and so do we. I'm so proud of him I have the two best men in my life and I'm the happiest girl in the world... Annie is her nickname when she turn 5 years old she had her open heart it was scary she made it and full it. Today you wouldn't even know it she is 13 now and doing well we were lucky she didn't have Downs bad but we don't treat her any different then the rest of the kids we are just one big happy family.
