Julie's Story
Life
I have been married to Jon Noel for the past 32+ years (since 1977). We live in the Bay Area but hope to move closer to our children and grandchildren (9 so far) within the next couple of years (Merced or Mariposa) I have three grown daughters, Sarah, Melonie, and Jennifer. I have been working for attorneys since 1986 and attended law school for 1.5 years. After passing exams and working fulltime, I needed a break to take care of familial needs and health, so I am on leave from law school. However, I am taking anthropology and biology courses and absolutely love both fields! So, while still working, looking at becoming anthro biologist as a career change- I believe if we focus on our connection to the Earth and the Creator, we will all be better for it and maybe even have better relationships with o...Expand for more
urselves, our loved ones, and our neighbors--just to start. I dream of starting a poet's coffeehouse, writing, teaching, travelling,and maybe storytelling?, but for now attending poetry and reading sessions whenever I can. I've studied with a well known Bay Area poet [from the beat generation] and have taken jazz voice lessons - but both my voice and my guitar experience needs much more practice! maybe when I retire, I'll have more time to practice? I come up to see family and a few friends on a monthly basis and really miss Mariposa and the Merced River. I am still learning to love and forgive with wisdom--it's always a process, and I've got many human frailties--I pray the Creator has not only great compassion, but a sense of humor at the foibles of my life.
