Julie's Story

Life Wow, Where do I start? So much has happened in my life. July of 1992 I married my high school sweetheart Jon Van Denover. We have now been married for 15 years. WOW!!! Seems hard to believe. We had a beautiful daughter on August 18, 1993 and named her Mallori Christine. On September 2, 1997 we completed our family with a son we named Nickolas Andrew. Jon as well as myself are empolyeed at San Diego Superior Court he works at the Central (downtown) branch and I work at the East County (El Cajon)Branch. Jon has been with the courts since March of 1995 as a mail and materiel specialist He just got promoted in Feb 2006 to a senior materiel specialist. Once the kids were old enough I decided to go back to work full time. I decided to take the civil service test and I have now been employeed at San Deigo Superior Court since the year 2001. I got my promotion to a Court Operations Clerk III in August of 2005 and I am now a lead in the Court Order processing/domestic violence/CRT/Drug Court and Prop 36 departments. I do lots of training for new employees on the felony, misdemeanor and Traffic side of the courts, so my job is never boring. Always something new and interesting. My daughter plays year round soccer on a all girls club team that is based in El Cajon. She holds the Midfeild starting position. She really loves the sport and I never miss a game or tournament. She make me very proud. Go Alliance!!!! She is also just started with the West Hills Cross Country team. Gooooo Wolfpack!!! She also plans on trying out for the West Hills Soccer and track teams and it really helps with her endurance for playing soccer. She wears me out. She is like the energizer bunny. My son loves baseball. He plays during the spring and winter seasons. His dad is working on his pitching...Expand for more
and he is actually getting very good. He tried playing one season of football with the Santee Cowboys. That ended up being too much of a commitment for a kid his age. We just signed him up for basketball. He has been wanting to play for quite awhile now. He is finally at the right age. I was very excited about it since it is the sport I love. He is also interested in checking out water polo. The kids keep us very busy. We just bought our second home in Santee near West Hill High School on Medina Drive. We put a pool in during the winter of 2005. Over the summer of 2005 we decided we had enough of carpet and installed tile in the whole house except the bedrooms. Some of you may be wondering about my sister Kimberly. She married Michael Leach in the year 1993 and they have 2 children Bryan Michael and Mikaylin Jade. They just recently moved back to Santee from South Dakota during the summer of 2007. Nickoals is excited to have his cousins attend the same school. My sister is just about finished with school for her nursing degree. I keep telling her it seems like she will never finish school. She works in a clinic in La Jolls and seems to enjoy her job. Michael was a Sargeant with Pennington County I believe it has been about 12 years for him. He is playing Mr. Mim righ now. He is taking his time to fine a job to suit him. I myself have just enrolled back into scool during the spring of 2006 I am minoring in Administration of Justice and majoring in business administration so that I can further my career in the court system. Well, I think that about covers it all. Probably more than you want to know about my life. I do believe that my life is something to be proud of and I would never change it for the world. I have accomplished more that I ever thought I would.
