Julie's Story

Life I just finished my 9th year of teaching. Taught in California for 5 years and then moved back to Oregon to marry my childhood sweetheart, Grant Wright, in 2003. He attended Periwinkle, Calapooia, and freshman year at South. He moved away, but we stayed in touch all these years. We live in Portland and are expecting our first child in October 2007. eived my bachelors in Elementary Education. Workplace I teach 5th grade in Tualatin. I love the school I work at. I have taught 4th-6th grades for 9 years. 5th grade is my favorite. I worked at U.S. Space Camp in the summers of '97 and '98 training kids like astronauts. I have met around 15 astronauts, including my hero John Glenn. I have been to two space shuttle launches. I love bringing my excitement about space into my classroom.
