Julie Jacobson:

CLASS OF 1983
San antonio, TX

Julie's Story

I married Duane Paulson at the ripe old age of 35, and inherited his two atrocious kids. (Honestly, all kids can't possibly be as wonderful as parents typically proclaim.) Nick is now (Feb. 2008) a senior at Univ. of Minnesota and Maggie's a senior in high school. I cannot lay claim to their classic Skandinavian looks; however, I do try to take credit for their intelligence and personality. I co-founded a publishing company in 1994, and still write about "smart homes" and other technological things that I don't really understand (cepro.com). Business is headquartered near Boston, but I moved to Stillwater, Minn. in 2000 when I married Duane. It's cold here. HE threatens to send me back to mommy if I don't stop griping...Expand for more
about the weather. I went to University of Michigan for undergrad, and got an MBA at UT/Austin. Always got good grades in school, but -- par for the course -- never was one of the cool kids. I played my first organized team sport starting in grad school -- Ultimate Frisbee. Ended up working my way onto a top-notch Boston team that won a few national championships and one world championship during my tenure there. Then I broke my hand, then had wrist surgery, then shoulder surgery (all Frisbee accidents) so now I'm back to my old pathetic self. Looking forward to reconnecting at the reunion.
