Julie's Story
Life
After graduating, I attended Cal State Fullerton and lived in the dorms. After 2 years I took a brief hiatus and traveled to Australia. I returned to college living offsite with my best pal, Noelle Haddad. While in school, I worked for 2 years as a babysitter of 3 children and then as a food server at Crocodile Cafe in Brea. I graduated with a degree in Communications.
Just before graduating, I met my husband, Alvin (Noelle introduced us). We dated for 3 years. During that time, I worked for a magazine in Mission Viejo where I was an assistant editor and feature writer. In August 1995, Alvin & I were married in San Clemente and lived in Aliso Viejo. Three months later we moved to New York for a job opportunity. We lived on Long Island and worked in the city. I worked at Bernard Hodes Advertising as an online editor in their interactive depar...Expand for more
tment.
Then we moved to Toronto, Canada, for another job. We lived in Toronto for 3 years, met a lot of really great friends, and I traveled a lot with Alvin to various cities in Canada. There I was a consultant for the Toronto branch of Bernard Hodes Advertising (doing online editing and marketing) and worked as a volunteer and coordinator for Hospice Thornhill. In Dec./Jan. of 1998, Alvin & I took 6 weeks off from work and we backpacked through South America.
In 1999, pregnant with our first child, we moved back to the states -- to Georgia. We live north of Atlanta near the city of Alpharetta. Our son, Caleb, was born in April 2000. In October 2002, our second son, Nathan, was born. I am now a stay-at-home Mom. We are members of a awesome church here called North Point Community Church were we volunteer and lead a small group of married adults.
