June's Story
Hey Y'all
I met my husband, Chuck, in Oct. of 1978. We started dating in Nov. and got engaged in Dec. However, we didn't get married until June of '81 (after all Chuck was just a senior in high school when I met him). My best friend, Lavina Grob (Littleton), was there for everything. For those math wizards out there, (yeah, I know there's a few out there) we just celebrated our 27th anniv. We have three girls: Sara is 25, Krista is 23 and Amanda is 21. We lived in Sacramento, CA until August of '92 when we moved to Aiken, South Carolina. We just love the south. I've worked as a nursing assistant in nursing homes and operated my own home daycare. hange the minute I get too bored. I volunteer as the Music Librarian at my church. That keeps me very busy. I play in two handbell groups and sing in the Chancel Choir at church and I also sing in a community choir. Chuck works in Environmental restoration as a Chemical Engineer. He works for a consulting firm and is managing the waste clean-up for the Navy in Key West. Sara moved back to Sacramento when she graduated high school in 2001. Another good friend of mine, Melanie Loya (Earnst), stepped up to the plate when Sara needed someone to take her to get her driver's license. Life would mean nothing if we didn't didn't have good friends to share it with. I'm blessed to have good friends on both sides of the country. That's pretty much my life in a nutshell.
