June's Story
It's been a long time since graduation day from RFA! Alot has changed. I started out as a clerk-typist in a pool at the FBI in Washington, DC. My friend, Heather Roberts, got me down here. I've lived in this area ever since I came down in 1971. Went from the FBI after 15 months to join the FDIC family. Started as a clerk-typist in an office and went on to become an executive secreary...using those business skills from school. Then, with encouragement...Expand for more
I took some aptitude tests for computer programming and got into that field. After 33 years in the government, I retired on an early retirement in April 2005. Got married in 1975. Have two lovely daughters. Inherited their cats when they left home. Had both knees replaced. And, this year just celebrated my 34th wedding anniversary. Went from a skinny girl to a well-rounded woman. Am working in my church and studying to become a Certified Lay Minister.
