Justine's Story
Life
I work for a day time homeless
shelter directing the food program and the court ordered community service workers. My job also includes public speaking engagements that educate the community about problems of hunger and homelessness here and through the U.S. I love my job.
I am still singing. Weddings, funerals, and fundraisers bring in extra cash. Singing for churches is the most fulfilling, but I love to go into a great show or jazz tune. Kalamazoo has a radio theater program I have enjoyed performing in.

I am blessed with family, friends, community involvement, work, and church. Just this year I have been married one year to a wonderful man. We are very happy together, and I am looking forward to our coming adventures. I have much to be thankful for. Life is good. I hope the same is true for you.
School
I loved being involved in choir, orchestra, and the musicals, but I do wish I had explored other areas. I wish I had pushed myself more academically, explored languages more, or studied a year in another country. It is great to be focused but not until you check out other talents and interests.
