Life Well, I've not moved a long ways from home, but I've still moved a ways. I'm divorced, mom to a wonderful 32 year old son. I live in South Georgia and I teach elementary music. In many ways, I'm rebuilding my life and learning to live with the aging process! My gall bladder has been tossed out the window and I'm looking at life through bifocals! What happened to us and when did we get old? I still like my rock n roll loud and my cars fast and my boyfriends bad! I still play piano and I still go off on tangents when poked at. I still have a collection of books and I still own my turntable and albums. These days I enjoy crawling antique shops, art galleries, walking the beach, and just having quiet time. My son says I've been dragged into the next century kicking and screaming. But really, life is really really really sweet! School My biggest crush in HS? Would you believe a British Soccer Player by the name of Rodney Marsh? Sorry guys, I didn't see a one of you, blinded by those sweaty blonde locks and the heavy Cockney Accent! oh, him and my HS sweetheart (who looked me up after 35 years.) It didn't last a 2nd time, but I now call the summer of 2016, the summer of love. My biggest teacher inspiration? To get the best of James Vines. The man said I'd never amount to anything. Come visit me in my home near the beach, you twit! Never amount to anything, my eye! I always wanted to be a concert pianist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a wonderful idea. As it turns out, they were almost right. My hero? My son! He was born with a congenital heart defect and had his first heart surgery at one day old and his FIRST open heart surgery at 13 months. His last open heart was in 2004, his pulmonary valve was replaced for a 3rd time this past spring, and let me tell you, when he prays, people stop to listen! He taught me what FAITH is. His surgeon told me he'd NEVER had a patient pray for him and his surgical team...Expand for more
