Kareen's Story
After moving from Dayton, Ohio to New Orleans, La. to finish my senior year of high school (1977-1978)I got a job at Oschner Hospital as an admit clerk. I worked there for about 6 months then decided to attend Meadows Draughn Business College. I got a degree in Automation Secretarial and went to work for Loyola University dental department. After about 3 months I moved to a secretarial position at a shipping agency in downtown New Orleans. In December of 1979 I met my first husband on a trip to Texas. We dated long distance for several months then I moved to Burton, Tx in April of 1980. We were married in April of 1981 and were blessed with two children Michelle in 1985 and Carl in 1989. ep son and a step daughter from my second marriage. My daughter just got married in Nov. 2008 and my step daughter was married in Feb. of 2009. My step son drives an 18 wheeler for a living and my son is in college. My husband also drives an 18 wheeler and has been for about 30 years. I have moved alot in my life and am glad that I have finally been able to settle down. My kids were able to start and finish school in the same town and with the same friends. That is something that was very important for me because I was not able to do that and I have lost track of alot of friends over the years because I moved so much. I have been able to reconnect with some old friends via classmates and facebook. It has been really nice to catch up with some of my old friends. If you read this and remember me please get in touch.
