Karen's Story
SO ..things are great...4 really great kids who have grown into 4 really great adults we consider our friends as well as our children. My husband Matt and I have enjoyed raising our children and look forward to all of our grandchildren's futures! We own a towing and auto repair business in Rehoboth/ Lewes,Delaware which is where my husband was born and raised. Our family,oldest daughter Megan (37) and son-in -law Josh welcomed a beautiful daughter christmas 07! They live in the cold of New Hampshire,but granddaughter Joanna Marie is just a joy!! Megan is busy raising Joanna and is now Dr Megan Henly PHD :) Joanna is a great big sister to her brother Nathaniel Arthur Henly born May 24,2010! Our second grandson! .. He is adorable and just as smart as his big sister! On Holloween 2013 we welcomed Samuel Isaac ! That makes grandchild 4 :)
Daughter Lauren (36) is living in San Diego and loves life on the west coast as a massage therapist ( holistic health practitioner ) with her own business and makes a great escape from the freezing cold winters!! She loves life in paradise! A graduate of University of Delaware,she also recieved her degree in therapy.She is amazing and in 2015 raised over $4000 for her favorite charity for Child hood cancer by running a marathon in Maui which she hopes to continue doing every year! She and her boyfriend Paul have a cute dog :) and busy lives also!
Son Ryan(35) has his dream job with ESPN campus in Bristol Ct now. (he recieved his degree from WVU)((stinking fantasy baseball team)) He loves h...Expand for more
is job and I challenge anybody to beat him on sports triva! Computer programing and sports all day...he is living his dream! ... Our baby boy Casey is 30 ..And is the poppa to our only local grandchild Mason.. 7 now!! Casey works at our family business .. And Mason Carter Wiedmann ,after school helps around the shop! Putting him on the bus and walking down the driveway to my office is great! And we have daily adventures!! The fall of 2015 found my oldest two grandchildren in 2 nd grade!! Can it be time already ?? With all this in our lives and a labradoodle ,and two sweet little Yorkies , Sadie,Suschi and a Brewer Terrier Sonic Boom! We now also have a character of a rescue dog.. A terrier mix Sebastian.

April 2014 we had a life changing event when my husband had an aneurysm burst in his brain causing a stroke. This left his paralyzed on his right side but he is tough.. And has worked himself mobile with a cane . God makes decisions in our lives and helps us cope and we do. My husband survived when doctors told me he wouldn't and continues to prove what a strong man he is every day!!
Both of my dear parents have passed on now...so I really feel I no longer have a connection to Wilmington or the old hometown. We count on our kids to visit us now and they have really come threw!!!
Between our growing generations..and living at the beach..life has been good to us...and we pray it continues! We thank God and trust his plan ,considering ourselves grateful for our family and God's love shown to us.
