Karen's Story
Life
After graduating from PHS in 1974, I was married a couple of times and ended up in Kentucky.
I joined the Navy in 1978, and was shipped to the most beautiful spot (I think) in the world. I had the pleasure of being in Bermuda and it was all that I had heard it to be,. The beaches were as white and pale pink as you could ever believe. I truly enjoyed the history of the island, and the pride that the locals took in keeping their home as gorgeous a place that it is.
I graduated from college in 2004 with an Associates in Accounting.
After graduating I was a stay at home Mom, in 2005 I started working with a local insurance company...Expand for more
, working a call center for the State of Kentucky employees. Still there now.
Had ups and down in my relationships. On the single side now. I am enjoying my life right now. Having fun dating and going out with my friends from work.
I have two great girls. I also have two beautiful grandchildren.
I try to get home to Maine as often as possible. Last time was in 2005, my youngest daughter and I flew up for Christmas.
Living in Ky for the last 28 years has made me want the New England coast more and more. I love Portland and always will. Someday I will be back home and watch out world, here I come......
