Life My best friend, husband Al was killed in March, 2006 in a car accident when we had been married about 43 years, far short of the 60 or 70 years we had anticipated having together. Our two children, Kirsten and Kirk, have presented us with seven grandchildren from 1990 through 2001. I now also have one great granddaughter born January 2022. We returned to Brighton in 1979 and I continue to live near there, in unincorporated Adams County between I-25 and Brighton. I enjoy my aviation and go out to fly as often as my schedule, finances, arthritis and the weather cooperate. I retired from computer programming when the clients dried up following the Y2K business and now keep busy with homemaking, several Bible studies, and committee person at the Methodist church. Al and I took on the loving task of National Finance Couple for the Marriage Encounter / Engaged Encounter United Methodist unit of Worldwide Marriage Encounter in 2005, and since becoming a widow did not preclude me from holding that office, I continued in that job for a total of 11 years. After Al's death, I have continued to participate with the Jeeping club that Al and I enjoyed, and I have now purchased my own Jeep Wrangler. I get out in my RV as often as I can each year.
