Karen's Story

Just alittle bit about me...... I am divorced, after 37 yrs of marriage to my high school sweetheart... No regrets just alot of wasted years.. I live in SC, outside Greenville. Working for the Solicitor (some call DA). Have been working there since 1989. Have 2 children, John 43 and Deanna 38 I have 5 wonderful and adorable grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandchild and another Great on the way... see pictures in the photo gallery. Thanks to all of you who left your name on the visitor listing. Always fun to see a name from the past... Please feel free to contact me as I am wondering where you all are and how you have been. Check out Facebook too, alot of classmates are on that site as well.. A High School Memory: The high school memory that first comes to mind, was in my junior yr I was in the color guard along with Carol Anne Lazarz. We dressed up as snowmen for the Thanksgiving game against Steinert at Steinert. I got all dressed in the costume at home and had to ride to Hamilton laying down in the back of Carol Storer's station wagon. When I met Carol Anne at the high school we could hardly fit through the doors on the bus. We had a great time throwing candy up in the stands and acting competely ...Expand for more
crazy. It was freezing outside but we were toasty warm in those costumes. The teacher that I remember most, was my typing and math teach, Mrs Koch. I had her every year at Hamilton. I remember that she got married in 1970. She was the best! I would love to know what she is doing now and if she had any children. She was young, petite, with short brown hair, and so cute. I remember having her for math in the tower when I was a freshman. Remember those gym uniforms. One piece suit with elastic around the legs. You had to love em' I remember when we were first allowed to wear pants!! But, it had to be a "pant suit". We could wear a split skirt (coulots) but it had to have a panel in the front and back. We were in school in the good ole' days and didn't realize how good it was. Look at all that is going on in the schools around the country today. I remember saying the Pledge of Alegiance to the Flag every morning and the Lords Prayer. Our teachers spent more time worrying about public displays of affection among the students than a display of a weapon.. much easier times for us.... Send a message through here or email me at Klowdermilk at charter dot net. Hope to hear from you all..... Karen
