Karen's Story
Life
I have been in so california since 1979. Got married in 1985; My husband worked for the California Department of forestry for 32 yrs; He retired in 2004 a year after we were told I had stage 2 breast cancer, I have beat the "BIG C" again;
I am back in school studing to be a EMT once again, I was a volunteer fire fighter for Riverside County Fire Dept. I am also a security officer;
In the summer of 04 my husband and I drove across country to attened the 30th high school reuion of New Canaan High School; We also took a side trip to see Anderson and how much it has changed.
We are moving back to New England in a few yrs; I miss the four seasons and somehow christmas lights on...Expand for more
catus just is not the same.
We enjoy camping and fishing and I go fishing once aweek here in the desert. Yes there is a lake nearby that county stocks 2x a month inthe winter w/ trout.
So has you can see I live a full life here in So Cal;
We travel alot through out Cal;
I also enjoy cooking and candle making at xmas time to give out for gifts.
College
In 1983 to 1984 : I took a course in Emergency Medical Tech. I was a EMT for 2 yrs then let it lasp so in 1998 I took it again, and have been a EMT ever since.
Workplace
I have been a bar tender, waitress, vol fire fighter and for the past 10yrs I have worked in Secuity, both has a field officer and dispatcher. I am also a EMT
