Karen's Story
Life
Okay lets see now. Left Ontario in 1978 for Vancouver, there for 4 years than moved to Winnipeg for a year,,got married 1983 and moved to Penticton,B.C., had 2 children. Divorce July 2001. For 13 years i was a hockey mom traveling all over B.C. cheering on my son.
Met a great guy and got married Aug 2005. Adding 2 step-children. Now that the kids are grown and moved out I have lots of time to do what Ron and I want to do, when were not working. Our favorite spot is fishing at Pluto Island for two weeks every year. Great place to be, no phones, even cell phones have no service,lol Beautiful place to relax and catch fish.

Workplace
I've been working in a retirement home as a dietary aid since 1994. Still love being there for the residents but some days,,ohhh
I have always said one day I'm gonna write a book on SunVillage Retirment but to this day have not started,,,lol
The oldest residents we have had was F. Bognar 104, than there was A. Spence 102,, today was have F. Aschenbrenner who is 100 but acts like he is 60,,,lol Loves his dancing and singing a tune. He sure has some great stories about his life.
As the years go by my co-workers and I keep wondering if our positions would change, that some day someone would be serving us... If so I'm gonna be so bitchy and picky and tell them how i use to do this job,,,lol THINK NOT
