Karen's Story
Attended TSC, then NTSU (Denton, TX), Moved to Houston. Taught Biology at Spring Woods HS 1967-1972. Married Lee Pattillo from Shreveport, LA.in 1969. Had daughter in 1972 and another daughter in 1974. Moved back to Brownsville in 1987. Taught Biology 3 years. Went to Sam Houston State in Huntsville for master's degree in Library and Information Science. Librarian at Hanna High School 1990-2003 when I retired. Downsized to South Padre Island that year. I walk on the beach, read(alot), do jigsaw, crossword , and sudoku,puzzles, watch Lee fish, enjoy my grands, and sleep. Oldest daughter lives in Brownsville...Expand for more
w/husband and the two grands, a boy 4, and girl 6. Younger daughter lives in Austin. we have a small condo there and spend time with her. She hasn't married yet, but I know God has a plan for her. She is beautiful inside and out. Haven't traveled a great deal and not interested unless it is to a beach. I keep a low profile here at the Island, don't socialize much and have discovered I am an introvert at heart. Bet that surprises a lot of you. I love keeping up with old friends and hearing about your lives. I own only flip-flops, don't like to cook, dye my hair, and like fried green tomatoes and fried okra.
