Karen's Story

Karen's schools include Mt. Pleasant High School and Central Michigan University (English).. Married Bob Heydenburg (class of 1961) and taught high school English in Fraser. We moved back to Mt. Pleasant where I sold real estate for Century 21 Bowerman Peake, then Coldwell Banker Mt. Pleasant Realty. Changed careers to become Director of the local American Red Cross for several years followed by joining Bob in the family busines...Expand for more
s, Heydenburg Development, Inc., which built Orchard Glen Condominiums (which I brokered) after years of building homes. Together we specialized in fire and water insurance claims work in Mid-Michigan. We retired to Sugar Springs which is a recreational community 10 miles north of Gladwin. We have 2 sons, 1 granddaughter and two grandsons all currently in Michigan. We play golf, travel, enjoy old friends and making new ones. .

Having a great time with our old, since high school, friend Dick Cassle. So many memories
Had a wonderful weekend with Jackson Heydenburg and Cole Heydenburg and their parents, Kurt Heydenburg & Leah Beacom-Heydenburg. Skiing and ice fishing were in the agenda!

Our friends from Florida, Judi and Bob, joined us for a weekend of golf, boating and laughter!
Enjoyed lunch with Aunt Phyllis, who will be 90 in September and still beautiful, gracious and fun to be with, and Cousin Al, who has more great family stories to tell than any other relative!
