Karen's Story

Graduating from colleges in NC (Wingate College and University of NC Greensboro), I also taught elementary school there for 2 years. My college boyfriend and I married and had 3 boys. After a brief move to NJ, we settled in the Chicago suburbs. Happily remarried for many years, my husband Tom and I raised our 4 children, 2 of whom still live nearby. Briefly I we...Expand for more
nt back to teaching, but eventually became a Realtor. That was my career for 33 years. Fall of 2022 I retired and we moved to Pooler, GA (near Savannah) to be close to our youngest son and his family. We’re enjoying the year ‘round warm weather, exploring our new location, tennis, pickle ball, some traveling and entertaining friends and family who come to visit.
