Karen's Story
Life
Until age 52, I spent my years climbing the corporate ladder. One day, while bumping my head against a glass ceiling, I realized I didn't want to be there anymore. I figured out I could afford to retire ten years earlier if I moved to Mexico. That's what I did. I chucked the high-stress life of Silicon Valley and now live in the beautiful cobblestone village of Ajijic. k was to have it be a change agent for women stuck in unsatisfactory lives. According to the sales and my email, it has done that.
I had a short marriage, two great kids who are now 31 and 32, both into high tech careers. I decided I was a confirmed single woman. We moved around a lot with my careers.
Here, I live a simpler, easier life. I have a maid and a gardener, two great dogs and I can devote my free time to doing the things I love and making a difference in the world, not only to the bottom line of shareholders.
I wish peace and fulfillment to all my classmates.
