Karen's Story
Hello Class of '83! It is so good to be able to connect with my old friends. A lot has happened with me since the good old days at Statesville High. After graduation, I attended UNC-Greensboro and majored in Early-Childhood Education. While at UNC-G I joined the best sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. For the past 22 years I have worked in school system. I taught 2nd and 3rd grades...Expand for more
for 13 years and then I went to graduate school at N.C. Central University and got my Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling. I am currently a guidance counselor and am loving it! I have one child, a 6- year old daughter. She is the love of my life and she definitely keeps me busy. I look forward hearing from classmates and friends from Statesville High, UNC-Greensboro and N.C. Central.
