Karen's Story
Hi classmates,Well, sometimes I really don't know who I am!! I do know that I a caring, compassionate person, and am very sensitive. I got married after High school, and had two sons. They are the joy of my life. Soon after, I divorced, and years later I met a man who was to become my second husband, and soulmate. we were together 20 years, but I lost him three years ago to cancer. That same year I lost my brother, and my mom, and found out I had breast cancer. I went through kemo, and the doctors thought they got it all. It was a rough year!! Most of my life I have worked in nursing homes caring for people. I loved my job, and tried to pour as much love as I coud into the residents. The work was hard, but I did'nt mind. When I left there we moved to Hilton Head island, and then to Rutherfordton, n.c. where I am now. I love the outdoors, and going through the woods with my dogs. I am planning a move to Canton, Georgia in a few months. My sister lives there. I'm alone here in N.C. and I need to be around family. It will be a good move. I love to swim, so i'll do alot of that, plus find nature trails and parks. There's supposed to be a dog park opening up, so that will be cool. God bless all of you, and please write back!!
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
I hardly ever blow off steam. I'm a great one for keeping everything inside. Reading and sleeping relaxes me.

My hero was my husband. He was so kind and always there for me, and me for him.
I have a great love for animals. I own four dogs, and they are my fur babies! I hate animal cruelty!!
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel Kitchen and add on a glassed in porch. My dream home would be a secluded mountain home.
I've learned how to be a good parent, and be patient.I've learned that they need love and guidance, and a parent they can come to no matter what.
If I won $100 million, I'd give alot of it of it to my sons and my sister., then spend the rest on furniture, clothes and a cabin in the mountains with a lake, but very private..

My current age is 54. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be ancient. I was so completely wrong.
I've always worked hard taking care of people. I was a born caretaker, and I love people.
My best friend would tell you I'm kind, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quiet.
I share my home with dogs, which I find comforting.

In 10 years, I hope to be more healthy. I'm going to get there by taking care of myself.
I cant remember her name but we had so much in common, and hung out together.
My first job was at a drug store, where I got paid $5.00 an hour to cashier. What I remember most about it is talking to customers.
I lived in Conn. and there was lot's of snow. I ice skated, and sledded. It was alot of fun.
