Karen's Story
Well, I went to college & got my BSN. I worked for over 20 years in nursing. In the meantime I got married, had
three girls then got divorced. We had been together 18 years at the time. 10 years ago I met my husband Dave through the personal ads. I moved to where he lived in Wellsville and we have been happily married for almost 9 years. He has 3 children, but they are all grown, married and we are up to 7 grandchildren. 4 of them live in walking distance to us so we see them all the time. My oldest lives in Girard, Ohio. nd is a senior this year. She'll be going to University of Maine next year for marine biology.
As much as I loved nursing I can't work anymore and am permanently disabled. I have fibromyalgia, arthritis, and have problems with the discs in my neck and back. It's so frustrating not being able to work, not just at a job, but at home too. My husband knew it was all getting me so he took me to get a puppy. Now I have the most beautiful German Sheppard. He's almost 5 months old and HUGE. He has really bonded to me and is my constant companion. He will be a great help to me as he grows since I often lose my balance and I can hang onto him. I now just putter in the garden and spend time with my girls.
