Update on Karen....I have worked for Oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale for the past 15 years...I am Director of the Family Support Network, a non-profit family resource center. We provide parenting classes, health & wellness classes, school readiness, car seats, and distribute food & clothing. All classes are in English & Spanish. I started out with 1 PT person...now have a staff of 12. I am blessed to be doing some...Expand for more
thing I love...a chance to 'give back' to all of those people who helped me...back in 1987, when my husband, Tom Mercer was is a tragic auto acc at Benj Holt Dr & I-5...left him with brain damage amd paralyzed from the shoulders down..and we had a 3 month old son at the time. Tom lived for 8 yrs after the accident. I was blessed to meet someone new...and remarried, moved to Oakdale and had our daughter. My children are now age 23 and 17...our daughter is graduating this year from high school..while many of you are already grandparents!
