Karen Hogue:  

I left home and finished senior year at Enid High, but MCHS is MY school. After starting a family, I earned a BS degree from OK State and worked as a counselor for abusive and neglectful parents, which evolved into developing programs for family services and people with disabilities. I was appointed to numerous disability related task forces and the Statewide Independent Living Counsel. Government relations was the most fun part of that career, visiting the state and US Representives and Senators, working deals and helping with legislation. I also wrote grants which evolved into writing and managing business proposals. After several years of working in the proposal field I opened my own business, Proposal Management Group. After ten years with PMG I decided to start a completely different line of work, estate sales. Providing a service in the community such as this is invaluable, hard work, and interesting.
