Karen's Story
Life
I moved to florida after high school for a few years before moving to Arizona. Got married in 1981, had a son, Christopher, in 1982 and a daughter, Jessica, in 1983 and divorced in 1985.
i got remarried in 1987 and my last son, Michael in 1995 and are still a family. My oldest son went in the Marine Corp 2 years before the war in Iraq started and unfortunately was one of the 1st groups into Iraq. It was a very stressful time but I am one of the very fortunate because my son, Christopher, came back home with no injuries but lots of stories.
I became a grandma on Valentines day 2004 when my daughter had a baby boy, Nathan, and I'm still waiting to get my first grey hair. Go figure?
I have been living in Sebring, Fl since 1997 but plan to return to the Desert southwest in about 2 years.
I went back to school and earned my AAS in network support services and my AAS in computer programming and de...Expand for more
sign in 2005.
Right now in Florida we are praying for rain. I live on a creek that for 10 years has been 10 - 18 feet deep and is now almost dried up. WE need a couple of good hurricanes with lots of rain but probably won't have any. We have 3 hurricanes hit us 3 years ago but were lucky with not to much damage but no electric for 14 days. When that happens the whole neighborhood has lots of parties from sun up til sun down and you get to know your neighbors very well as we all help each other. It's pretty fun but very hot.
My husband and I are restoring a 1956 Ford Customline car the we had for over 20 years. It's an Arizona car so there's no rust. We get a lot of looks when we drive around town in it. It starts a lot of conversations with people and it's fun also.
That's my life so far. Since I'm not a gold member you can send mail to me at jensen1328 at comcast dot net. I hope to hear from you.
