Karen's Story
Graduate of Mankato State University and MBA from St. Thomas. My first job was at White Castle near Rice and University in St. Paul! My career was at 3M as Manager in Treasury Division, but my education and career never defined me. I retired early and moved to Alaska with my husband in 2000 where I have been living the dream every since. I have one child and one grandson who live in Montana which is also our second home. becoming a certified genealogist. My second career was as a special education teacher in Alaska. I have climbed many mountains and continue to travel as much as possible. I probably loved Antarctica the most. I am still very much rooted in my humble beginnings growing up in a lower middle class family living next to the projects down off Jackson Street. I will never forget the sacrifices made by my parents and ancestors who made it possible for me to have this wonderful life. I am truly blessed.
