Hi
My life has been pretty enjoyable and hopefully helpful along the way. I went to UCLA after high school and met some great friends my sophomore year when I lived in a housing coop. We still get together now and then. And I married one of them. We lived in Santa Monica where I taught, worked in the library,worked in a food coop, cleaned houses and spent half the week on a small farm we bought in Elsinore. THe whole time, simple living was a guiding force and I loved making things and creating whatever from scratch.
After 11 yrs. in Santa Monica, I moved back to Orange County (my marriage was finished-though the friendship wasn't)and moved in with the man who I am married to now. WE have 2 kids, one in college and one in 8th grade. During that time, I've been a sta...Expand for more
y- at-home-mom which has given me a chance to dabble in a few things I've enjoyed alot. ie. clothing design business, performing in plays and musicals, social work and counseling, psychic stuff. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with more or less grown kids and a spoiled attitude which isn't liking working full time at a job which seem so remote from real life needs. I trust time will take care of the question.
Spirituality is important in my view of life though I have no specific religious bent. I'm active in many environmental and humane organizations. Being a parent was and is a hugely rewarding experience for me and it wasn't something I had ever seen myself doing.
I hope that you people from El Dorado out there are looking for others and I hear from you too.
