Karen's Story
After graduation in June 1984, I got married to my first husband Kim Sandvig on August 11. I worked at Covenant Manor in Golden Valley, Mn and also Prudential in Golden Valley, MN. We lived in Andover, Mn until our first home was built in May 1985. We lived in Dayton, MN. Our first child Kalvin, was born on Dec 24, 1987, our second child Kally, was born on Nov 19, 1990. I was laid off. I went to work for Morey Fish Co. in Golden Valley, Mn where I met my second husband, Jim Pflipsen. We started dating in March of 96. He had two children from his previous marriage, Marquelle and Mackenzie. We were married in July 1998. We've been married 11 years... I lost my dad in April of 2000 and am in the process of losing my mother to Alzheimers disease... It has been an awful experience and I would not wish this on my worst enemy. Our trip to Florida was a nice get away from the every day challenges of life these days....
