Karen's Story
Hi Classmates,
After I graduated I moved to Bellingham Wa, 90 miles above seattle. I have taken several classes jr. college and at skagit valley college in Mt.Vernon. I've worked almost the whole time since school, I've done a very wide variety of jobs, from driving a cat, working for georgia pacific mill, to becoming the office manager for a large vet. practice here in Bellingham. Animals are my love. My Father who lived in Spokane passed away a couple years ago, my brother is still there. Not many relatives left so don't get over much any more. My mom lives here in B'ham and I'm taking more responsibility for her. My stepfather Norm passed away in 1991. I have a grown daughter who is the apple of my eye, I have 3 cats, 1, I brought home from loretto Mexico as a kitten, and 2 abandon kittens my daughter found and of course brought home. My wonderful Old english sheep dog just passed away, My best friend!

ss you could say I'm retired, but I don't know how I would fit work in the schedule. I've had 2 horses here, plus 1 in spokane. I hope I can get another one before I'm to old to climb up. I have loved living here the boating and salmon fishing were the best. We have traveled to canada and Alaska several times. I have always loved the water. I met my husband on a
double date, he was not my date. We got to talking about scuba diving which I was dying to do and he showed me his driving tanks and scrba gear he just happened to have in the trunk of his car???? He liked fast cars and so did I. Well we're still married after 41 years this Feb 24th. How about that. Not easy, a very interesting marriage, with lots of adventures, marriage is an adventure anyway??? I love to draw and paint but never seem to find the time. I'm quite gray now and don't swim as fast as I used to but still love it, and life. I love chocolate, the color purple which looks good on a black horse, and I'm noticing it's becoming hard to not gain weight now. Hope you enjoyed the news. Karen L.
