Karen's Story
I live and work in Folsom, CA with my wonderful husband, Jim, who is a local Chiropractor. We were married in 1982 after we both finished school, Jim with a DC degree and me with dual teaching credentials. We now have 2 great kids, a girl and a boy, all grown up and making their own ways. Jim and I have a home in Folsom, where we are suburban homesteaders. We keep chickens, ducks and large rabbits, and have yards full of ve...Expand for more
getables, berries and fruit trees, and are adding more edibles as we go along.
Since leaving Western, I have been a teacher, in banking for over 4 years, more teaching, Chiropractic assistant, office manager, farmer, master gardener, homemaker and mom. And I have a small business making historical clothing for the American Girl and Life of Faith dolls and selling online and at craft fairs.
