Karen's Story
After graduation I worked a few office jobs, then decided I needed a CAREER! So I attended Patricia Stevens Career and Finishing School in downtown MPLS. (Fancy name-but it taught me the skills I needed to get a better secretarial job -- and I also got a few modeling gigs out of the deal.) I started working for Northwest Airlines as a secretary in 1977. I have stayed with them all these years (now wearing a Delta uniform and working as a customer service agent at the MSP airport).
I have done a lot of traveling - China, Japan, Korea, London, Sweden, ...Expand for more
Acapulco, Tahiti, Alaska, all over the US and Caribbean, and best of all African safari to Tanzania and Zanzibar.
I married in 1976 (to a guy not from IHS), had 2 great kids- Shannon and Scott, and divorced in 1991. Shannon has 2 boys and a girl-so I have 3 grandkids that I take care of as much as possible. I currently live in Lino Lakes and retired in 2020 when the Covid killed the airline business. I currently spend time at home or my daughters home with grandkids. Also try to get up to our home in the woods near Mille Lacs as often as possible.
