Karen's Story
I went to Interlake High and graduated 1971 and moved to Orange County California after attending Central Washington University for one year ... to live with my family who moved there after my senior year. I lost touch with classmates until Facebook 40 years later. I loved college once I learned that I was actually quite intelligent and talented and I had a thirst for psychology and was encouraged by Manny to complete my advanced education.
I married a psychology professor from Cal State University Fullerton and had three wonderful children. The marriage lasted 20 years.
I attended Central Washington State University, Santa Ana College where I was awarded state commendation for being a national championship debater and also attended California State University, Long Beach (Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) - Psychology) . duate studies at Claremont Graduate University and Sierra University where I earned a PhD in clinical psychology. I currently have a private practice in Mission Viejo California and work as a licensed individual psychotherapist and family therapist.
I love all kinds of music, including Cohen, Moby, Dido, Josh Groban. Books I like include Deepak Chopra, The Four Agreements, Pema Chodron. Movies Karen likes include The Secret, The Tapping Solution. I am an Apple devotee, can't believe how wonderful the Internet and new technology is, and enjoy watching Netflix and saving a bundle of money compared to the cable program I had a few years ago.
