Karen's Story
Since high school, I have received an associates degree in legal sciences from Aquinas Junior College (now closed) and a bachelors degree in English, with honors, from Northeastern University.
I always wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an "out of reach" idea. As it turns out, they were right.
I have been a legal secretary for over 32 years and was recently laid off after 25 years of service to one law firm. I have been married for 24 years and have one son and 4 stepsons. I have 4 grandchildren and one on the way. My son is graduating in 2010 from high school with...Expand for more
hopes of being an astronomer or an environmental scientist.
I have kept in touch briefly with Olivia Santos and Carolyn Seward (Arena) from the class of 1968.
You might remember me as "vooch" (my nickname at school). I was in French club back then and was on the pep squad for a year. I was never a "wild child" at school. I pretty much stayed out of the line of fire when it came to acting up.
I stayed in Watertown until I got married and for 2 years after. I moved to Framingham after that and have been here for 15 years.
It would be nice to hear from some of my other classmates and catch up on things.
