Karen's Story
Life has been busy since high school. Went to La Tech and graduated Aug. 1993, got married in Sept. 1993 to my college sweetheart who was actually a jerk. Divorced in 1998 - thankfully had no kids with him. Got back together with an ex-boyfriend from 1992 in 1998 only to marry him in April 1999. He is the best!! I received a BA in Journalism from Tech and worked full-time up until July 2000 when I had my first child, a daughter. Five months later, I was pregnant again (no, it wasn't planned that way). LOL!! At the same time, my husband was transferred to Houston, TX. We moved from Bossier to Houston in Jan. 2001 and my son...Expand for more
was born in August 2001. We have been living in Houston ever since. We just recently built our first home and moved into it in December 2007. My children are now 8 and 7 years old and keep me very busy. I've been lucky enough to be a stay-at-home mom ever since I had my children and although I miss a paycheck sometimes, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I hope to work again someday but not anytime soon. I actually have plans to write a book. We are very involved in our church, with family and friends, and sports!
