Karen's Story

I would think people remember me as a nice person, kind of quiet. Friendly but reserved. Not a joiner but not an outcast either. A possibly interesting person to get to know. How do I blow off steam. Read a good book. The Outlander series is my new obcession. Diana Gabaldon is an amazing author. Highly recommend. The wildest thing I ever did in highschool. I sluffed 45 days of my junior year. Thank god they are stricter with the kids nowadays. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Shuzelle Perry, because she was so damn cute and fun.. Watch way too much TV and movies. Outlander, NCIS, Strange Evidence, All the Godzilla movies and lots of others, Yes I'm a couch potato. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel Laundry room and add on a bathroom. My dream home would be Much larger. What I've learned as a parent. Agression doesn't work but guilt and disappointment do. Bad disipline is worse than compromise. Nurturing and bounderies are a must. My kids make life worth living.. Being a grandma is a gift. The teacher I would love to see again. Mr Gardner, He was the minister at my wedding (with a case of gout) and we never got to pay him for his services, he left before we could. I would like him to know how much I learned from his class as well and I don't mean history. If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to charity, then spend the rest on my kids education, a new hom...Expand for more
e and vacation and the bucket list. To be truely happy I would be living somewhere more north maybe Washington state. If I could take my kids and grandson with me. And retired. My current age is 60. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be content with life. I was so completely wrong. Went to school for medical assisting but really only wanted front office. Worked at medical billing for 30 years. Still dress like you did....Yeah right, Not, I have become a master of desguising the buldges. The wierdest job I've had was cutting out wings for and ultralight aircraft, with a soldiering gun. Weedhopper was the company. My do over would be more active in high school activities and then more communication skills in my marriage. My first job was at Brandalls, where I got paid minnimum for the time to sell clothes. What I remember most about it is Late nights on school nights, And them going out of business.. I share my home with more animals than people, which I find wonderful. In 10 years, I hope to be retired and waist deep in my bucket list. Tammy Calton and I met in junior high in the 7th or 8th grade, We had unknowingly decided on the same day we would make a new firend that day. We just hit it off and were friends all through high school and after until several years ago, when we had a bit of a falling out over our children and husbands. Again such is life and life goes on.
