Karen's Story
I spent 32 years in Fairbanks, Alaska. Raised 2 children Rodney and Tamila. In 1996 I got my Class B CDL and began driving tour buses for Gray Line of Alaska/Holland America throughout Alaska and the Yukon. Between March 17 and May 10, 2000, I logged over 2,000 miles on Ice Road 2000 between Kaparuk and Alpine Oil Camps across the frozen Beaufort Sea.
In 2003, I moved to Seattle to take a position as Supervisor of Safety & Training at Gray Line of Seattle. GLS was sold in 2010 and slowly began declining - as of Jan 1, it no longer exists.

rk for them until 2016 . Since then I have been between Alaska and Washington driving for several companies. I am currently in Reno, NV.
In 2013 I published my first book - Inside The Circle - a book about domestic violence. That was followed by Ghost Cave Mountain (a romance). In Oct 14, I published Mystic Alaska (photos of travels and life in Alaska). All are available on Amazon. Since then I have written and published 7 more books, helped a neighbor write and publish her memoirs (she was a contestant on America's Got Talent). In the process of writing three more books and helping a law enforcement officer write a couple of books.
