My husband Dennis and I moved from Billings to a little community outside Sheridan, Wyoming along with daughters Nicole and Natalie in 2000. I was skeptical at first what life would be like for our girls just going into 7th and 9th grades in a rural school setting, but it turned out to be a good move for the family. The girls had opportunities in activities and sports they might not otherwise have had....Expand for more
In fact, Natalie was a star basketball and volleyball player, their 2A team winning the state basketball championship two years in a row. And after i got out of my funk at leaving everything I knew and loved, found it to be good for me as well . Just took a little longer. Now, I find myself not ever imagining living in the city again. Not good with change, obviously. But, I must say Life is good.
