Karen Solwick:  

After graduation I attended Alan Hancock with a major in Early Childhood Development. My education evidently was for my personal benefit. I have four children - three sons and one daughter. In 1976 I moved with my family to Grants Pass, Oregon. I was in the dental field for nearly thirty years first as a chair side assistant and then over twenty years as an office manager. I was the owner of Karen's Water Trucks and was a wild land forest fire fighter for several years. It was challenging, exciting and rewarding. I live on acreage behind Lake Selmac in the mountains of Southern Oregon. My property is adjacent to thousands of BLM acres with woods and log roads which are great for horseback riding, quad riding, hunting and hiking. I have abundant wildlife including black bears, cougars, bob cats, deer, elk and all the "little critters". I am an avid hunter and love fishing, especially the Rogue River which is nearly in my backyard. It has amazing steel-head and salmon fishing.
