Karen's Story
Where to begin....
I retired from FedEx and fully enjoyed staying home with the kids.
When I retired, I started raising cattle and goats and working as a vet tech. My grandfather raised cattle when I as young and he always fussed at me for petting them. I sent him pictures of me petting each and every one. I even wrote their names on the back of each photo.
We relocated to New Zealand for two years with my husband's company, then move back to the farm in Texas. What a wonderful place to raise children! No crime rate. The police officers don't even carry guns.

I opened a day spa and had a wonderful five years with that until April 2007. Mom and Dad finally retired and put a house on the property in 2005. I closed the business to stay home and take care of my sweet daddy when he was diagnosed with cancer in January of 2007. He is now cancer free, 71, and cute as ever. I am so blessed to still have them with me.
When I decide to move my parents to our farm, there were so many people that told me I didn't want to take on that burden. For he record let me share this.....It hasn't been a burden, it has been an honor.
