Karen's Story
It was more or less on a whim that I moved to Asheville after college. Didn't know anyone there, had no job lined up, no connections. Found a job in a bookstore right away. One night a co-worker needed a lift home... and 28 years later we are still together. After a couple of years in Asheville we moved to Atlanta. It was during a heatwave one August that we heard about the cool summer fog in San Francisco. YES!

After 20 years in San Francisco, Will and I thought we would enjoy a change of pace. So, in May 04 we moved to a small town of less than 4000 on the Oregon coast. We found that quieter pace; reading, gardening and taking Gertrude (Stein) our hound dog for long promanades about town.. We both work parttime so I guess you could say we are semi-retired -- though Will thinks of it as semi-still working! We share a lot of the same interest including literature, history, classic movies, baseball, board games, jazz & classical music.
What have you been up to? Would love to hear from anyone from Southern High or Pembroke -- rather we recall each other or not.
